From now on I'll probably stick with organic (preferably grassfed) cheese.
I have what I call my 80/20 rule. I aim for my family to eat 80% healthy, whole, organic food and 20% anything else. I'm going to work on getting cheese under that 20%, so that it's something we only eat occasionally. We've already successfully given up cow milk and butter.
Here's how I make my Mac and Cheese:
-2 boxes organic pasta
-1/4 cup original unsweetened almond milk
-1 tsp onion powder
-1 squirt mustard
1 bag shredded cheese
-1/4 tsp olive oil
-pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook pasta according to directions on box. Drain. Add in milk, onion powder, mustard, olive oil, and pepper. Mix. Stir in cheese. Pour in 9x13 in baking dish and bake for 10 min.
